Seeking truth of what is Drainage and Irrigation?

I’ve been offered this department for my internship that will begin 3rd December 2007- 23rd May 2008. Still thinking about to accept the offer or not. Contructor vs consultant? Which would give me best step for my future plans?

Seeking for the right choice, i search the information for this department.It’s more to stormwater management and popular standard use in malaysia is MASMA. In class we only been tought about it theoritically. So when it goes to design, i’m no nothing about it.

Then i found website about Jabatan Pengairan dan Saliran Malaysia (JPS). The contents are knowlegable for me as a beginner drainage engineer. However, the page cannot be cut and paste. The department sure know that there will be someone like me want to plagarise their content. It’s ok. I’ll definetely will find another source. That’s all.

What I know most of drainage would related to hydraulics. In hydraulics there is a chapter we learn about appropriate drainage. We not learn this chapter in class or it is not state in our syllibus. But it’s help me in the future because i want to end-up my life there, the Department of drainage and irrigation. Of course not for a long time. It just the beginning of my life.Enoughla..hopefully i can managed this blog full of information about civil engineering. Amin
