My industrial training

Posted in Uncategorized on March 7, 2008 by civilengineer

OMG, is been so long after I update my last posting about seawaves. After calculating its about 5 months ago. Sorry for letting this worpress abondoned. Actually on last december I started to begin may industrial training at HLA associates Sdn. bhd. It is a huge and good consultant firm. It totally owned by bumiputera and Dato’ Ir Halim bin Sulaiman is the owner. I’m very thankful to work there because the place is nice, the office is cleaned and beuatiful and it looks like a good place to be.

Now, its turn to 3 months i’be had been at HLA, I have good friend such as Junior eng, Awin, Eda and a appy draft person called Nora. Were so happy together and there is a lot of things can be done and learned at HLA. I’ve also have my own computer that can be used to do works or sometime play internet doing work that are not works. Hehe. Thank you bos because given me this oppurtunity. There is still balance of 3 months for me to be there. Is it im gonna stay or have to move out from there and seek for other job. I don’t know. I want to stay because..

Let me tell you. Today i went for interview at a consultant firm that established begin 1994. The place is so difficult to find but I managed to find it after I called the company to ask direction. I’m sweating all over my back body..urgh it’s felt discusting and I’m exhausting. Just straight forword enter the company and after filled up a form about 5 minutes after the interview session is begun. It’s so simple and easy and he just asked me a few question about my salary, experiances and cars. It just a happy chit chat and I’m ok with it. And I’ll also manage to ask him a few question.

Back to what I want to say is, the company is old and located at at upper floor and it is difficult to search like new people like me. And the place is quite messy and full of folders and drawing everywhere. It’s really different from what my company right now. So i feel like I’m gonna appreciate more the company I’m working with right now. I begin to love HLA and I want to love it more. There is no good place like HLA.

So far so good, at 1st month I end-up doing nothing, after that I’ll begin to be given a few small task that anyone can do such as draw strip map, calculate monthly man breakdown, calculate length of utilities mapping, followup and submit drawing to local authorities, do some technical writing such as tender document, site investigation and utilities detection mapping. Furthermore, ive managed to use SIDRA a software that used to design traffic light system, then GEOSTUDIO07 a software that used to calculate factor of safety and hydraulic counductity. Luckyly I’m able to involve in design such as drainage, bridge and pavement design. I need to master and know how to use the Manual Masma and always updated with industry products that now used.

Hopefully, I can learned more and more from my supervisor, Ir Hasnizal Hashim. He’ll a cool and brilliant bos. He’ll answer everything that we asked and let us do whatever we want to do. Hehe. He also don’t mind Im playing the internet. Thank You la boss. Your’e the best la..

I” think that’s all can I say about my happy life at HLA.

Hopefully I can do some structures work some day. May GOD always bless me. AMIN
